The Resort

An historic Northwest lodge, the 1913 Alderbrook Resort was remodeled as a posh retreat and just reopened in late 2004. You can read more about Alderbrook’s history if you wish. In a breathtaking waterfront location, this resort will envelop you in luxury, and inspire you with gorgeous views in every direction, inside and out.

Your room will embrace you with:

  • Two queen beds or a king bed with luxury linens and down comforters
  • An exquisite window seat and patio
  • Spa amenities and a soaking tub
  • Views of the beautiful Hood Canal and Olympic Mountains beyond

You will be pampered with:

  • Top-notch service
  • Sumptuous Northwest cuisine meals and delightful snacks
  • A first-rate massage included in your retreat, with time for more spa treatments, should you desire them
  • Special treats and goodies throughout the weekend to remind you of the special care you deserve and thrive on

You can spend your free time:

  • At the spa, receiving any of a wide range of world-class treatments
  • In the indoor pool or outdoor hot tub
  • Walking or hiking along the ocean
  • Listening to the salmon streams that run through the property
  • Relaxing in a comfortable deck chair, watching birds, deer, and sea life
  • Or any way you like!

Our retreat will include plenty of time to enjoy this beautiful place.

We’ve planned this retreat at harvest time, so you can enjoy the bright leaves and crisp, warm weather of the Northwest Autumn. No, it probably will not be raining! The weather will be gorgeous.

Your every sense will be stimulated and served!

Getting to the Retreat:
Alderbrook Resort is less than 2 hours west of Seattle, Washington, and southwest of Vancouver, British Columbia. The closest major airport is Seattle-Tacoma International. Shuttle and seaplane service are available from the airport, and we’ll coordinate arrivals so you can meet your retreat companions enroute, whether you’re flying into Seattle or driving from your Northwest home.

Close to Seattle... Far from the Everyday
The short, scenic trip to Alderbrook is part of the fun:

BY CAR: One hour, 45 minutes from Seattle; 50 minutes from Tacoma; 35 minutes from Olympia

BY FERRY AND CAR: From downtown Seattle, West Seattle and Edmonds

BY SEAPLANE: From Seattle's Lake Union and Tacoma Narrows Airport in just 25 minutes!

Perhaps you’ll make the retreat part of a longer Northwest Adventure. Contact us for travel planning support... Michele loves recommending wonderful spots!
